California is home to some of America's greatest Parks including, Disneyland and Yosemite. Usually people don't think of those two as being related, but Disney has funny animals and tall castles and so does Yosemite, El Capitan. Even though El Capitan isn't really a castle if you visit the lodge at Yosemite and dine in the Ahwahnee Dining Room you will feel like royalty. Cinderella had her glass slippers, but we recommend hiking boots if you visit Yosemite or Sequoia or Kings Canyon Park. If you want to really see the power of nature, visit one of those parks and appreciate the size, beauty, and diversity of mother nature. Visit immense mountains, rugged foothills, deep canyons, vast caverns and then when you are done, drive down the coastal highway, 101 and see some of the scenery. Take Interstate 5 down into San Diego and visit the Zoo, one of the best in the world. Enjoy.
