History-
Loring Park was named in honor of Charles M Loring, who was the
first superintendent of Minneapolis park system and was prominent
during more than 30 years in development of the Minneapolis Parks.
The newest addition to Loring Park is the Center Circle Garden
located north of the foot bridge. The garden is full of a variety
of perennials and some annuals along with wildflowers. Improved
access into the park makes the garden handicapped accessible.
