Downtown East / The Mill DistrictAs one of the more historically significant areas of downtown Minneapolis, the Mill District, or Downtown East, is home to many West Bank buildings and businesses that made the city popular. In addition to having other businesses, Minneapolis became the most productive grain miller in the entire world during the later part of the 19th century. Currently, however, the Mill District is experiencing some drastic changes for the better to move into the 21st century. One major change is the fact that the Guthrie Theater, the main point of the district, is being restored with help from the Mill City Museum. Other changes are taking effect to help the city endure modern times while maintaining its history. Condo Buying Questions and Anwsers | |
